Pomeranz, White scratched at Akron
Indians top pitching prospect Drew Pomeranz was scheduled to make his fourth start At Double A Akron tonight and was replaced by Matt Langwell before the first pitch.
Alex White, another top pitching prospect for the Indians, was supposed to pitch an inning of relief (strained right middle finger). He is not pitching tonight either. White, I was told, was pushed back a few days.
first baseman Matt McBride is also out of the lineup and replaced by Cristo Arnal. McBride was originally in the lineup too.
Twitter is exploding with rumors of a deal with Colorado Rockies for ace Ubaldo Jimenez. Nothing is official at this point though.
Jimenez has been scratched from his scheduled start too.
Updated: Jimenez isn't scratched now. Still scheduled to pitch.
