Sizemore scratched with back pain
DETROIT: Less than 10 minutes before today's first pitch, center fielder Grady Sizemore was removed from the lineup with what was described as mid-back tighness. That caused manager Manny Acta to shuffle his lineup as follows: Michael Brantley moved from ninth in the order to second and took over Sizemore's spot in center. Austin Kearns took Brantley's place in left and batted eighth, and Lou Marson moved down one spot to ninth in the order.
