Indians manager Manny Acta gave updates on right-handed pitchers Mitch Talbot and Anthony Reyes -two of the Indians rehabbing pitchers -before Friday's game against visiting Minnesota.
"(Talbot) threw a bullpen, he's ready to go," Acta said. "He's going to go out to (short-season) Mahoning Valley (Monday) and have an outing over there."
Acta said Talbot (strained back) will be limited between three innings and/or 50 pitches or four innings and/or 65 pitches in his initial reahb outing.
"After that, we'll see if he's going to be ready to take his turn (in the Tribe rotation)," Acta said.
Acta got to see Reyes (Tommy John reconstructive right elbow surgery) for the first time live.
"He threw a bullpen for us and he looked good," Acta said. "During his last outing in Double-A, he was bothered by his back a little bit so we pulled the reins in on him. But he threw his bullpen and he's gonna go out and start his rehab again."
