Talbot rehab assignment might start Friday
CLEVELAND: Mitch Talbot will accompany the Tribe to Oakland and throw a bullpen Tuesday.
After a bullpen session Saturday, Talbot said his (strained) elbow felt less than perfect, but that it didn't hurt.
""I didn't feel as good as when I threw (a bullpen) the first time,'' Talbot said today. ""I had this stretchy feeling in my elbow. But there was no pain, and that's a plus.''
Regardless, Talbot believes if has has no problems throwing off the mound in Oakland, he will be off on a rehabilitation assignment.
""I think I'll pitch in a game in Arizona on Friday,'' he said. ""I don't know for sure how many times I have to throw, but I'm figuring at least two games because I've had so much time off.
Talbot's rehab will take advantage of the more consistent warm and dry weather at the Tribe's extended spring program in Goodyear.
