A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Thursday:
Triple-A Columbus (9-6) - Columbus lost 6-4 to host Toledo, allowing the Mud Hens to move into a first-place tie in the division with the Clippers...DH Shelly Duncan went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI and 1B Wes Hodges added three hits and an RBI...RHP and starter Yohan Pino allowed four runs on six hits over six innings while striking out seven, but reliever Jess Todd allowed two go-ahead runs in the eighth inning.
Double-A Aeros (6-9) - Akron suffered a 7-2 loss to host Bowie as LHP and starter Ryan Edell allowed seven runs (six earned) in just three innings...DH Matt McBride was the only Aeros batter to reach multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with a home run, run scored and RBI.
High Class-A Kinston (5-9) - Kinston split a double header with host Wilmington, winning game one 7-4 and falling in game two 4-3. In the first game, Greenville native and Indians No. 1 pick in last year's draft - Alex White - got the start for Kinston, but ran into trouble early when the first four batters he faced reached base safely. White (1-1, 2.70 ERA) lasted just four innings, allowing four earned runs while walking three and striking out one.
Low Class-A Lake County (12-3) - After starting the season 11-1, the host Captains lost their second game in three days, falling 5-0 to Great Lakes. The shutout marked the first of the year for Lake County...The Loons offense came in a five-run spurt in the third inning against Captains RHP Clayton Cook, who despite the loss, combined with two relievers to strike out 12 Loons batters...3B Jeremie Tice and 1B Ben Carlson were the only Lake County batters to garner hits.
