Triple-A Columbus (35-20) - Columbus enjoyed a scheduled day off...In 51 games, C Carlos Santana - the Indians No. 1 prospect - is batting .316 (55-for-174) with 11 doubles, a triple and a team-leading 11 home runs and 45 RBI.
Double-A Akron (23-30) - Host Akron claimed its fourth consecutive win with a 3-2 victory over Erie that completed a three-game sweep of the SeaWolves...Starter and LHP Scott Barnes allowed two runs on three hits in his first four innings off the DL, while a trio of Aeros relievers combined to limit the SeaWolves to just three harmless hits the rest of the way...C Damaso Espino went 2-for-3...RF Matt McBride went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI.
High Class-A Kinston (29-25) - Visiting Kinston lost 11-4 to Winston-Salem...K-Tribe starter and RHP Marty Popham (0-1, 5.52 ERA) was tagged with the loss. He allowed eight runs on eight hits - including three home runs - over just 4 2/3 innings...OF Lucas Montero went 3-for-4 with two doubles...RF Abner Abreu went 1-for-4 with two RBI.
Low Class-A Lake County (36-18) - Host Lake County trounced Beloit 12-6 to sweep the series, scoring nine runs in the second through fourth inning...1B Jason Smit went 4-for-5 with a double, home run and six RBI...DH Chun-Hsiu Chen went 5-for-5 with a double and two RBI...Reliever and LHP Vidal Nuno picked up his first win of the season, limiting the Snappers to just one run on two hits in three innings.
