* AMBRIZ UP, SMITH DOWN - The Indians activated RHP Hector Ambriz from the 15-day disabled list today and optioned RHP Joe Smith to Triple-A Columbus to make room on the roster. Ambriz, 25, was selected in the Rule V Draft from the Arizona Diamondbacks in December and will be making his Major League debut. Smith struggled in nine ppearances with the Indians, going 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA. In seven innings, he allowed six runs on seven hits and walked more batters (six) than he struck out (five).
