With their fifth pick (173rd overall), the Indians selected RHP Dyaln Baker from Western Nevada Community College.

Baker, who hails from Juneau, Alaska, went 13-0 with a 1.91 ERA in 18 games (16 starts) this spring as a sophopmore. He walked 46 and struck out 126 batters over that span as well.

As a freshman, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Baker pitched at Tacoma Community College, where he was named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year and helped Western advance to the Junior College World Series.
