Tribe signs three minor leaguers

The Indians signed a trio of minor leaguer players for the 2012 season in INF Chin-Lung Hu, INF Argenis Reyes and RHP Willy Lebron.

Hu, 27, spent the 2011 season as a member of the New York Mets organization, splitting time between three levels - including a stint in the major leagues. Hu appeared in 22 games with the Mets before being outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo May 17^th. In 48 games between three levels, Hu batted .161 with three RBI.  The Tainan City, Taiwan, native has a career .296 average in the minor leagues.

Reyes, 29, started the 2011 season as a member of the New Jersey Jackals of the Canadian-American Association.  In 60 games Reyes batted .306 average with two home runs and 29 RBI. After signing with Triple-A Columbus at the beginning of August, he appeared in 25 games, batting .313 with two home runs and nine RBI. Reyes owns a .288 career minor league average in 11 seasons as a member of the Indians, Mets and Red Sox organizations. He enters 2012 just 30-hits away from 1,000 for his minor league career. Reyes also played in the major leagues for the Mets during the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

Lebron, 31, was a member of the Kansas City Royals organization during the 2011 season, making 32 appearances and one start between Double-A NW Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha. He was a combined 4-2 with two saves, a 3.02 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 32 games. The Dominican Republic native has a career minor league record of 8-6 with a 3.93 ERA. Following the 2011 season, he pitched for Licey in the Dominican Winter League where he went 2-3 with a 3.28 ERA.
