Tribe Winter Ball Assignments
The Indians season may be coming to a close, but winter baseball is just beginning to heat up.
The Tribe is scheduled to have 24 minor laegue players suiting up throughout Major League Baseball’s Winter Leagues, including three who are on the Indians 40-man roster in C Luke Carlin (Aguilas-Dominican League), 3B Jayson Nix (San Juan-Venezuelan League) and OF Nick Weglarz (Caracas-Venezuelan League).
Here are the other Tribe players and their respective Winter League assignments:
* For the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League - Manager Milke Sarbaugh, RHP Scott Barnes, LHP Eric Berger, RHP Chun Lee, RHP Bryan Price, RHP Travis Turek, 2B Jason Kipnis, C Roberto Perez and 2B Cord Phelps.
* For the Arizona Paralella League - LHP Elvis Araujo, RHP Jose Flores, RHP Santos Frias, RHP Peston Guilmet, RHP Adam Miller, RHP Tyer Sturdevant, OF Trent Baker, SS Juan Diaz, 2B/SS Karexon Sanchez and OF Donnie Webb.
* For the Colombia League - Hitting coach Aaron Holbert (Cartagena).
* For the Dominican Republic League - RHP Josh Judy (Aguilas), 1B Matt McBride (Gigantes de San Francisco).
* For the Puerto Rican League - Nix (San Juan).
