A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Tuesday:
Triple-A Columbus (58-37) - Visiting Columbus was shut out 7-0 by Durham...RHP and starter Carlos Carrasco pitched 3/13 shutout innings, allowing just two hits before leaving the game early...RHP Josh Judy held down the fort for 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief of Carrasco, but LHP Jeremy Sowers (1-6, 6.86 ERA) gave up seven runs on 11 hits over the final three frames to take the loss...Newcomer and CF Ezquiel Carrera was the only Clippers batter to garner multiple hits, going 2-for-3.
Double-A Akron (51-45) - Host Akron won its sixth consecutive game, man-handling division-leading Altoona 10-3...The Aeros hit five home runs - all off Curve RHP Jared Hughes, who took the loss after giving up 10 runs (six earned) on nine hits in just 3 2/3 inning...2B Jason Kipnis hit two of the longballs, going 2-for-5 with four RBI.
High Class-A Kinston (9-14 in second half) - Host Kinston toped Winston-Salem 4-2 in eight innings...RHP Joe Gardner (8-4, 2.62 ERA) limited Winston-Salem to two runs (one earned on three hits over six innings...2B Karexon Sanchez went 2-for-4 with two RBI and and a run scored.
Low Class-A Lake County (11-12 in second half) - Lake County enjoyed a scheduled day off.
Short-season Mahoning Valley (12-19) - Visiting Mahoning Valley shut out State College 4-0 ...RHP Alex Kaminsky (4-1, 2.04 ERA) earned the win, holding the Spikes scoreless on three hits over five innings...2B Daniel DeGeorge went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI...DH Jonathan Burnette went 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI.
