Two more sent to minor-league camp; Perez, Dice-K throw Saturday

GOODYEAR, Ariz.: The Indians optioned first baseman Mike McDade to to Columbus and re-assigned infielder Nate Spears to ther minor-league camp, leaving 49 players in big-league camp.

 McDade batted .400 (12-for-30) with two doubles, one home run and 10 RBI in 16 exhibition games.

 ""We saw (scouting) reports that were all over the map on him,'' manager Terry Francona saide. ""But he can hit and hit from both sides, and he can play first.''

Chris Perez is scheduled to throw a bullpen on Saturday. He has been sidelined with a strained shoulder.

Daisuke Matsuzaka will throw in a minor-league game Saturday afternoon.
