A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Wednesday:

Triple-A Columbus (72-53) - The host Clippers were defeated 9-2, sparked by Scranton's 15-hit attack...LHP David Huff (7-1, 3.99 ERA) took the loss in allowing four runs on seven hits - including a home run - over six innings...RHP's Carlton Smith and Shane Lindsay combined to dish up five more runs in relief...C Luke Carlin went 2-for-3 with a home run.

Double-A Akron (63-59) - A pair of late errors doomed the visiting Aeros as Akron fell 3-2 in 10 innings to Reading...A fielding error by 1B Beau Mills followed by a throwing error by 2B Jason Kipnis led to the R-Phils victory...LHP Scott Barnes did not earn a decision despite limiting Reading to two runs on four hits over six solid frames...DH Jerad Head extended his hitting streak to 16 games with his second home run in as many games, a two-run shot in the fourth inning that provided all of the Aeros offense.

High Class-A Kinston (24-28 in second half) - Host Kinston was drubbed 9-1 by Potomac, with all the Nationals runs coming in bunches via a five-run first inning and four-run third...LHP T.J. McFarland failed to get through the first inning, dishing up five runs on four hits (including a pair of home runs) in just 2/3 of an inning...But RHP David Roberts didn't fare a whole lot better in relief, giving up four more runs on six hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings of his own...DH Chun Chen drove in the team's lone run via a fourth-inning home run.

Low Class-A Lake County (24-27 in second half) - Host Lake County lost 6-2 to Bowling Green...LHP Owen Dew (0-1, 6.23 ERA0 took the loss in relief in giving up two runs on four hits and three walks in 2 1/3 innings...1B Jason Smit went 2-for-3 with a a double.

Short-season Mahoning Valley (25-33) - Host Mahoning Valley doubled up Batavia 4-2...LHP Michael Rayl (1-4, 3.09 ERA) earned his first win in limiting Batavia to two runs on four hits while striking out six over six innings...C Diego Seastrunk went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
