A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Wednesday:
Triple-A Columbus (9-5) - The Clippers topped host Indianapolis 6-1, with DH Shelley Duncan and SS Jason Donald each blasting a two-run home run to lead the offensive attack...C and top Tribe prospect Carlos Santana was helped off the field in the third inning after fouling a ball of his left knee and is listed as day-to-day.
Double-A Aeros (6-8) - Akron lost 9-6 to visiting Altoona, as the Curve completed a three-game series sweep of the reigning Eastern League Champions...RHP Paolo Espino allowed six runs on nine hits in five innings...CF Tim Fedroff went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored...DH Cord Phelps was 3-for-4 with three runs scored to raise his batting average to .422 on the season.
High Class-A Kinston (4-8) - The K-Tribe's game against host Wilmington was postponed due to rain. The teams are scheduled to make up the game as part of a double header that begins at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Low Class-A Lake County (12-2) - The host Captains rebounded from Tuesday's rare loss to post a 6-5 victory over Great Lakes...SS Kyle Smith went 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored...DH Roberto Perez was 2-for-4 with a double.
