White headed for Akron

CLEVELAND: The Indians' top pick in the 2009 draft will join the Akron rotation.
Right-hander Alex White is scheduled to start Sunday afternoon against Harrisburg at Canal Park after spending the first seven weeks of the season at Kinston, where he was 2-3 with a 2.86 earned-run average in eight starts.

Lonnie Chisenhall, the Tribe's probable heir apparent at third base, was placed on the Aeros' disabled list with soreness of his right shoulder.

Chisenhall got off to a blazing start, batting .358 with five doubles and five RBI in 16 games. Overall, he is batting .261, so you have to wonder if his shoulder hasn't been bothering him for two weeks or more.

Saturday night's game between the Indians and Reds will not be televised because of a blackout imposed by Fox sports, which has exclusive rights to air baseball for the evening. Usually, Fox's exclusivity ranges from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m on Saturdays.
