Will Grady be activated on Monday?
CLEVELAND: Grady Sizemore is done with his rehab assignment at Akron and Columbus, so what else does he have to do before he comes off the disabled list?
""He's going to be here for two days,'' manager Manny Acta said today. ""We're going to have to gauge how he is physically, but he'll be activated soon.''
We already know about soon. When is soon? How about Monday, when the Indians begin a trip to Kansas City and Minnesota?
Asked if he would rule out Monday for Sizemore to be activated, Acta said, ""I can't rule out anything. I don't know when it will be, but it will be soon.''
Acta isn't talking, because a player will have to be lopped off the roster to make room for Sizemore, and the manager doesn't want to give the candidate(s) to get the short straw extra reason to worry by him naming a date of Sizemore's return.
The most likely candidate to take the fall is Travis Buck, with Shelley Duncan some distance behind him.
