Men's basketball
I've seen that many of you are worried about the Zips ability to hold onto a lead. I have the solution. It will be in the Rasor's Edge tomorrow. But I'll post it on the blog before that.
- Understandably, Kent State took over first in VanDelaySports.com's MAC Power Rankings.
- Akron remained at No. 16 in the Mid-Major Top 25. Kent State, meanwhile, jumped from No. 17 to No. 9. Ohio, No. 22, was the only other MAC school ranked. Miami (56 votes) and Buffalo (12 votes) also are listed.
Football
Remember when I said a player with the last name Lemon will sign with Akron? Well, he finally did.
Shawn Lemon is a 6-foot-2, 215 defensive end. He was interested in Kent State, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Syracuse and Marshall.
