Akron men's soccer defeats Cincinnati 1-0

Senior Anthony Ampaipitakwong scored a goal with 32:52 remaining in the first half to help the University of Akron men's soccer team defeat visiting Cincinnati 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Lee Jackson Field.
The No. 1 ranked Zips improved their record to 5-0-0 record and the Bearcats drop to 2-2-2.
UA's starting lineup is:
– Forwards: Junior Darlington Nagbe and freshman Darren Mattocks.
– Midfielders: Senior Anthony Ampaipitakwong, junior Michael Nanchoff, sophomore Scott Caldwell and freshman Perry Kitchen.
– Defenders: Senior Chris Korb, junior Kofi Sarkodie and sophomores Zarek Valentin and Chad Barson.
- Goalkeeper: sophomore David Meves.
Sophomores Thomas Schmitt and Ben Speas contributed as reserves along with freshman Eric Stevenson for the Zips.
