The University of Akron men's soccer home match against Ohio State on Sept. 24 has been selected to air on NSCAATV.com, a new on-line media property launched by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in 2013.
Starting on Aug. 13, NSCAATV.com will air a weekly college soccer review show and a live stream schedule of college soccer games from around the country. The Zips' contest against their in-state rivals, which will kick off at 7 p.m. ET at FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet Field, is one of 10 NCAA Division I men's games scheduled to air this fall.
Other confirmed match-ups include Saint Louis at Connecticut (Sept. 21), Stanford at UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 27), New Mexico at Tulsa (Oct. 9), Connecticut at Louisville (Oct. 19) and Army vs. Navy (Nov. 8).
UA men's soccer season and single-game tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online anytime at ZipsTickets.com, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Mondays through Fridays by either calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets).
The 2013 campaign will mark the first under head coach Jared Embick, who served the past six seasons as Caleb Porter's top assistant and recruiting coordinator. As a team, the Zips, who swept Mid-American Conference regular season and tournament titles last fall, are set to return nine letter winners and five starters from a year ago.
