All games are important, but...
Men's basketball
At this time of the year, every conference game is important. However, none of the big four (Ohio, Kent State, Miami and Akron) play each other this week. Therefore, it will be hard for those teams to help themselves that much. It sure will be easy to hurt themselves if they lose to a lower-tier MAC team. Here are the big four's schedules.
- Akron: vs. Western Michigan on Wednesday; @ Eastern Michigan on Saturday
- Kent State: @ Toledo on Tuesday (on FSN Ohio); vs. Northern Illinois on Sunday
- Ohio: vs. Northern Illinois on Thursday; @ Western Michigan on Sunday
- Miami: no mid-week game; vs. Ball State on Sunday
