Baseball standout to play QB for Zips
Football
A moderator on ZipsNation.org posted this story about Ryan Flynn, an excellent defensive and offensive second baseman at Allegany College in Maryland.
He will transfer to Akron because he wants to play football.
Rivals.com gave him one star when he came out of high school in 2004. Despite that, West Virginia and Penn State wanted him. He holds many quarterback records at Latrobe High School.
Baseball
Akron lost game one of its doubleheader with Kent State this afternoon, 5-1.
Game two started at 3 p.m.
