Brookhart doesn't know about Harvey's future
Football
David Harvey will miss this spring season.
His future after that is not clear.
I asked J.D. Brookhart if this "personal problem" would carry over until the fall. He said, "I don't know."
That's a little scary.
On the bright side, though, Jabari Arthur is getting the cast off his foot in a week. He almost assuredly won't play in the spring game.
Notes:
- Andrew Johnson is looking really good. When he gets to the outside, watch out. HIs cutting ability can turn a four-yard run to the sideline into six points. It's too bad Zips fans must wait a whole year until he is eligible.
- Matt Domonkos' kickoffs are strong. He has always had a good leg. It's just the consistency. With the rule change (kickoffs start at the 30, not 35), his strength will be an asset regardless. He was coming close to booting some balls into the endzone.
- Carlton Jackson and Chris Jaquemain both sat out again. Jaquemain wore a sling on his throwing arm for parts of practice. Brookhart said Jaquemain could be back by Tuesday. Jackson might take a little longer.
- I'm off to watch Jon McClain kick for the Canton Legends indoor football team. Should be interesting. I'll have more tomorrow.
