ESPN.com's Kyle Whelliston wrote a fascinating article about Keith Dambrot's vision for building the program.
He hinted toward the weak schedule being a problem, but allowed Dambrot to justify it. You should definitely read it.

Notes...
The Zips are 16.5-point favorites tonight.
The ABJ's Tom Gaffney wrote about Nick Dials' adaptation at point guard. My assessment is that he pushes the ball well, but doesn't do a great job of getting the team into its offense. His passing is only average. The Zips will be at their best when Dials plays off the ball and focuses only on shooting.
If you buy your general admission tickets before halftime of the women's game, you can stay for the men's game. The women tip off at 5:30. Fans really have no excuse for missing this game against an in-state foe with the excitement of adding two possibly key components to a team that's already 8-2. Also, it's a Friday night and the weather is OK.
Prediction: Akron 83, Youngstown State 62
