Zips starting quarterback Clayton Moore was 3-of-19 for 42 yards and one interception, and backup Patrick Nicely was 4-of-13 for 48 yards.
Now that your expectations are lower than low, it shouldn't surprise you the Zips lost 35-3 last night at Miami, who now joins the leaders in the MAC East.
After taking a step forward against Central Michigan, the Zips fell backward last night. The team has a longer-than-normal break before playing Kent State at home next Saturday.

Men's basketball
Chauncey Gilliam's debut was a good one; the junior transfer from Maryland-Baltimore County dropped 20 on John Carroll, as the Zips won 84-62.
But Keith Dambrot was understandably upset with the ball handling and guard play. Akron committed a whopping 25 turnovers.
