Four-star receiver coming?

By mrasor Published: January 6, 2006

When Jason Harvey was coming out of high school in 2005, he was the 24th best receiver in the nation. Harvey considered Penn State, West Virginia, Iowa, Georgia and Pittsburgh before settling on a junior college, probably to get his grades up. A Penn State message board says that Harvey will transfer to Akron. A poster alerted me to this. It doesn't look all that credible, but who knows.

Harvey's 4.4 speed could be lethal. If true, he'll fight for playing time with Jabari Arthur and J. Sharps.

In addition, the Akron Beacon Journal reports that Darryl Henderson, a 6-foot-5 receiver from Florida has verballed with Akron over Nebraska and Central Florida. He will add another weapon for 2006, unless he's redshirted.

A week ago, someone asked me what the Zips need to recruit most. I said wide receiver. If we get these two guys, I'll be satisfied.
