Fullback commits to Akron
Football
A Maryland fullback committed to Akron last weekend.
Austin Bailey is 6 feet tall and 236 pounds. Scout.com calls him the No. 17 fullback in the nation.
Bailey chose Akron over Miami (Ohio), in part, because Rob Ianello plans to change to a pro-style offense, and the former spread offense did not utilize a fullback. Therefore, there is a personnel need, and Bailey might play early in his career.
Read this... Terry Pluto wrote about Ianello's efforts to reconnect with the recruits Akron already had before he took over.
