Gameday notes

By mrasor Published: September 15, 2007

Here are some clips from today's media...
Terry Hutchens of the Indy Star writes about Indiana kicker Austin Starr and his confidence. predicts a 27-14 win, as long as IU limits turnovers.
The Indiana Daily Student says the Hoosiers aren't overlooking the Zips.
The ABJ talks a little about how Indiana is prepared for the 3-3-5 defense because they already saw it against Indiana State.
The line is either 13.5 or 13.
The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette says Indiana will win as long as they keep the pressure on Chris Jacquemain.

My prediction: Today, you will see a more explosive Akron offense, led by Dennis Kennedy and Bryan Williams. That will open up the passing game, and you might just see a couple offensive touchdowns. But Indiana is pretty dangerous itself. Quarterback Kellen Lewis will probably have a big day running the ball. He and James Hardy will strike for at least one deep reception.
After last week's offensive travesty, it's too much to predict a victory. But still, this should be a close game until the end. Akron 14, Indiana 21.
