Oh, how I wish there were a playoff system for college football. Just because a clear No. 1 played a clear No. 2, doesn't mean the system works. The games were amazing this year, too. But could you imagine a 16-team tournament where Akron (or the MAC champion) has a chance to win the national championship? As it stands now, Akron has zero chance in the next four years of winning a national championship.
Oh well, I'm using this post to brag that I nearly nailed both my Fiesta and Rose bowl picks.
Fiesta Bowl: Ohio State versus Notre Dame
- My pick: Ohio State 27, Notre Dame 21
- Reality: Ohio State 34, Notre Dame 20
Rose Bowl: Texas versus Southern California
- My pick: Texas 31, USC 28
