Kent State promoted Rob Senderoff as head coach to replace Geno Ford.

Senderoff appeared to be the choice of the fans and current players. Among Kent State fans on this blog, 75 said they would be happy with Senderoff, while only 14 would not. Justin Greene and Pat Jackson gave their endorsements as players to Senderoff shortly after Ford left.

Fans across the country will recognize Senderoff's name for his role in the Kelvin Sampson recruiting controversy at Indiana. The Hoosiers eventually forced Senderoff to resign in October 2007.
