Moorhead promoted
Football
To keep assistant coach Joe Moorhead from taking a coaching job at Georgetown, coach J.D. Brookhart promoted him to be Akron's co-offensive coordinator. Moorhead has been instrumental in recruiting, already bringing in three-star lineman Jared Dewalt. The ABJ story is not clear on what job Moorhead was about to take at Georgetown, but I would assume it's their head coaching position.
Brookhart basically said he promoted Moorhead to keep the offensive staff together. I'm glad he has that kind of commitment for the future. Honestly, I keep getting the feeling that I'm going to wake up in the morning to read that Brookhart is a candidate for a job at a bigger school.
