National Championship -- Tied at 0 at halftime
Men's soccer
Akron and Louisville are tied at 0 at halftime.
The Cardinals have had the two best opportunities to score, however. One shot bounced off the right post. On another play, Chris Korb used his hand to redirect a blocked shot in the box. It should have been a penalty kick for Louisville, but the ref missed the handball call.
Stay tuned to Marla Ridenour's blog and this blog for coverage after the game. Marla is out in California. Also, Michael Beaven is reporting from the Barley House, where a great deal of fans are gathered to watch.
Men's basketball
Akron lost by 35 today at Temple.
The Owls shot 56 percent, compared to 30 percent from the Zips, who were led by Steve McNees and Alex Abreu (11 points each).
Akron has another tough game on Wednesday at Minnesota (8:30 p.m., Big Ten Network) before returning home Saturday at 2 p.m. to play Bethune-Cookman.
