Nicely moves to second string
Football
An injury to Matt Rodgers will mean a lot more than a normal quarterback injury for the Zips this year.
Akron pulled true freshman Patrick Nicely off the scout team; he will cover second-string duties, according to ESPN.com.
From the day that Nicely verbally committed, it was decided that he would redshirt this year. This move puts that plan in jeopardy, but you wouldn't want to risk a season on a non-scholarship player.
