NIT bid might be in balance
Men's basketball
Akron will travel to Athens tomorrow with ramifications on MAC Tournament seeding.
The PD's Elton Alexander writes that the game might also decide which team plays in the NIT.
Since the teams last met, Ohio has beaten Kent State and George Mason at its Convocation Center. The Bobcats will be motivated after Nate Linhart's last second tip sent an angry team back to Athens. Oh, and the fact that Akron fans unleashed on Bubba Walther again.

Notes...
Ohio leads the all-time series, 29-26. The game will be on ESPN Full Court.
In case you're wondering, Kent State fell out of the top 25 after its loss at Bowling Green. The Flashes lost all of their votes in the ESPN/USA Today poll.
ESPN.com says Akron is moving up in the Bubble Watch.
