Here is a news release from the University of Akron concerning its kickoff time against Penn State.
The University of Akron football contest at Penn State on Saturday, Sept. 6, will kick off at noon ET and will air live on ABC Sports (regional) and ESPN/ESPN2 nationally, the Big Ten Conference announced on Wednesday.
The trip to Happy Valley will be the fourth for the Zips and the first since Sept. 5, 2009.
Kickoff times and television assignments for the remaining games on UA's 2014 schedule will be announced at a later date.
Additionally, the Zips Athletics Z-Fund is coordinating a fan charter bus "Zips Trip" to University Park for the Penn State game. Fans can purchase a travel package for $90 (prior to Aug. 29), which includes a ticket to the game and transportation to and from the game. For fans that sign up after Aug. 29, the price for the trip will increase to $180.
The charter coaches will depart from campus on the morning of the game and return immediately following. The departure time will be determined at a later date.
