Remember to Flush three times

Men's basketball

Akron completed the three-game disgracing of Kent State tonight with a 61-54 win to advance to the MAC Championship against Miami.

The Zips clawed back from a 14-point halftime deficit with Jeremiah Wood playing his best game as a Zip. He scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

The game set a MAC Tournament semifinal attendance record with half the stadium cheering for each team. Akron tightened the noose on the Flashes by holding Kent State to 23 percent shooting in the second half.

I'll have much more on the game tomorrow. Right now, my windpipes are shot and I'm exhausted. See you at the Barley House.
