Those Florida connections are once again paying off for the Akron Zips football team, according to multiple reports.
The Zips apparently received a commitment from Moses McCray, a 6-foot-2 defensive tackle transfer from Florida State to play the coming season.
McCray has endured an injury prone college career, according to his FSU bio. He has been granted a rare sixth year of eligibility because of those injuries. He graduated from FSU in the fall of 2012 with a degree in social sciences. He will bolster a defensive line that has talent at the top tier, but once again lacks depth.
Assorted scouting reports agree that McCray is an impressive physical specimen whose injuries haven’t allowed him to “tap into his potential.”
