Shaka Smart gone
Men's basketball
The Zips top assistant coach Shaka Smart accepted the top recruiter job at Clemson.
The job opened after Clemson assistant Kevin Nickleberry left to be head coach at Hampton.
Everyone knew it was a matter of time before Smart was leaving. He was a very talented players' coach. Now coach Keith Dambrot will need to find another assistant who can bring in good recruits.
