It was a close game for the first 10 minutes, then Akron's inability to make a shot lifted Kent State ahead.

The Golden Flashes won 79-47 today at Rhodes Arena.

The Zips shot just 25 percent from the field, compared to Kent State's 49 percent. Sarah Tokodi was Akron's lone bright spot with 26 points.
