Special section on InfoCision Stadium

By mrasor Published: September 7, 2009

The Akron Beacon Journal did a great job in giving the full picture of InfoCision Stadium through its special section in today's paper.

    Here are the stories...
Pat McManamon wrote a column about Mack Rhoades' thoughts on the stadium's opening.
Tom Gaffney wrote about the stadium's impact on the university's finances and other teams on campus.
Betty Lin-Fisher wrote about major donor Gary Taylor's business and the impact of his purchase of the naming rights to InfoCision Stadium.
I wrote about what the on-campus stadium will mean to UA students and campus. posted 35 photos from Ed Suba Jr. His shots bring a unique perspective.
Bill Lilley gathered comments from the community about the stadium. He also wrote about the future plans for the Rubber Bowl and the parking situation. It really sounds like the university has the parking issue under control.
Cheryl Powell explained why Summa made its donation -- to provide support for the larger project in revitalizing the University Park neighborhood.
David Lee Morgan wrote about the city series games that InfoCision Stadium will host.
Lisa Abraham does a great job outlining the vast array of cuisine available at the stadium.
Graphic artist Rick Steinhauser designed a detailed guide to InfoCision Stadium. You'll want to bring your copy of the newspaper to the stadium on Saturday just to use the guide. It should win Rick an award.
There are no concerts scheduled for InfoCision, but Malcolm X Abram discussed some memories from concerts at the Rubber Bowl.
