I'm still after the detailed stadium renderings. They are 95 percent complete, and UA won't release them until the next Board of Trustees meeting, which is on Aug. 1 I believe. After about three minutes of research into Ohio's public records law, I found that to be illegal.
Like I have said before, UA's administration consists of good people, but they obviously don't think much of sunshine laws.
Men's basketball
Romeo Travis has acquired a suffix during the Las Vegas Summer League: DNP-CD.
For the second in three games, the former Zips forward did not play, due to a coach's decision.
The Cavaliers beat Phoenix on Monday, 93-89, despite 42 points from Suns guard Marcus Banks, who really has no business playing in a summer league game. (If the guy really wanted to show he can play in the NBA, he should improve on his three assists.)
Stadium notes
Football
I'm still banging my head against the wall to get the stadium renderings.
In the mean time, here are some details...
-
The stadium will seat 25,000 and will be expandable to 30,000.
There will be two levels of academic space within the press box tower.
It will contain 17 suites, 28 loge boxes and 400 club seats.
UA is considering dorms or student housing of some sort on the east end of the stadium.
The total complex will take up 12 acres.
