Akron has 22 verbal commitments so far, with three scholarships left to give out. The targeted positions include a high school receiver and another cornerback. Harvey is one of the highlights in this class, according to a source with the team.

Maurice Harvey, safety, Reedley C.C. (Calif.) Offers: Akron and Nebraska Height: 6-foot-3 Weight: 195 Speed: Not listed Notes: Rivals.com gives Harvey three stars. This quote from a Rivals story fascinated me: "Harvey said that Cal-Berkeley, Kansas State, and Oregon are 'about it' in paying attention to him other than the Huskers." Other schools of interest included Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Nevada, South Florida, Syracuse, West Virginia, California, Clemson and Florida State.
