What's missing from this picture?
Football
I took the following picture this morning (as a break from my Tax reading). Tell me what is missing.
OK. Time is up. The giant "InfoCision Stadium" sign with the Akron emblem came down in the wind storm. I think it was yesterday, but I'm not sure. Anyhow, the university is lucky no one got killed by giant falling letters. If you pick up a copy of the Buchtelite, you will see the picture of smashed-up sign on the pavement.
Also this...
The ABJ's Jonas Fortune wrote about what J.D. Brookhart has in store for the bye week. The coach will try to bolster the running game by getting DeVoe Torrence and Broderick Alexander carries in practice.
The coach also showed a willingness to play Patrick Nicely. I think that's a mistake, unless we see Matt Rodgers struggle behind a line that actually blocks the pass rush. If you're subbing in a true freshman with hopes to win now, I don't think you can assume that Nicely will be any more poised than Rodgers behind the Charmin line.
