Who is Buffalo?
Football
Coming into this season, the Buffalo game looked like an off week.
Coming into last week, it looked like a breeze before the Zips play at Ohio and versus Western Michigan.
Then the Bulls blew out Kent State, scoring 41 unanswered points in a 41-14 win. Running back James Starks ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns. The Bulls defense forced five turnovers.
Backup Tony Paoli filled in for injured Drew Willy at quarterback and managed the game fairly well. Buffalo coach Turner Gill announced Paoli will start again Thursday.
All the sudden, Buffalo has confidence. As we saw with the Flashes earlier in the year, confidence is a tremendous weapon in the MAC. This is probably the most dangerous 2-7 team in the nation.
