Zips add defensive tackle
Football
J.D. Brookhart received a commitment from Cowles Stewart, a 6-foot-2, 285-pound defensive tackle from Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.
Originally from New Jersey, Stewart has dropped 50 pounds since graduating. Stewart qualified academically out of high school, so he will be on campus by May.
To play tackle in Division I, and especially in Brookhart's 3-3-5 defense, Stewart might want to pack some of that weight back on.
