Kent picked fourth, the Zips last
In the media poll released in conjunction with Media Day in Detroit, Kent State was picked fourth and UA was picked seventh in the East. Miami was a narrow choice over Ohio in the East. Toledo was the pick over NIU in the West. Toledo was picked as the 2011 champ.
I will do a notes story about the UA and KSU reactions to being picked so low. My main story will be on the new taunting rule in college FB this year. The MAC coaches like it and had some good comments,

Media Day continued
At Ford Field in Detroit, head coach Rob Ianello and players Brian Wagner and Zac Kasparek represented the Zips and head coach Darrell Hazell and players Roosevelt Nix and Chris Anzevino represented the Flashes. They were interviewed, along with the other East teams, by television and radio from 8:30 - 10: 30 a.m. Then from 1030 to noon, they were interviewed by print reporters.
Most of the questioning for UA was about how they expect to improve. For KSU, the questions centered on Hazell being in his first year as a head coach. .
