Zips arrive in Chicago for NCAA tournament
The Zips traveling party of about 100 players, coaches, band members, cheerleaders and staff members left Cleveland on a charter plane early Wednesday afternoon. They arrived in Chicago in late afternoon and were in their hotel by 4:30 p.m. Central. The only glitch was that one of the buses didn't have air conditioning with the temperature in the mid 60s.
The players had the rest of the day off. On Thursday, UA will have its first mandatory media session at 11:20 a.m. Central. The players will be available for 20 minutes and then coach Keith Dambrot for 20 minutes. The Zips will hold an open practice at noon at the United Center.
