University of Akron men’s soccer head coach Jared Embick announced the addition of midfielder Brent Nanchoff and defender Danilo Radjen to the Zips 2014 roster.

Nanchoff is from North Royalton and will be a freshman in the fall. He carries on the family name at Akron, following in the footsteps of his father Louie, uncle George, and cousin Michael. Michael was a member of UA’s national championship team in 2010 and is currently with the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer.

Brent Nanchoff played for the International Soccer Club of the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy in Cleveland.

“We are excited to add another talented Nanchoff to the Akron soccer family” Embick said. “Brent has the chance to be as successful as Louie, George and Michael. He has great technique and passing ability and can see the field better than most players coming into college. Brent has grown up around the game and you can see that in the way he plays.
