Zips drop game to lowly Eastern Michigan
Men's basketball
To this point in the season, Akron had not lost to a bad team. The Zips had failed more often than normal to beat the average ones.
That changed last night, as the Zips lost for the first time in four games in Ypsilanti, Mich., shooting 30.6 percent from the field.
Akron is now 0-4 in conference road games, and hasn't won in almost two months away from Rhodes Arena. The Zips will have a chance to reverse that on Saturday at Toledo.
