Zips drop second-straight, at Buffalo
Men's basketball
Once again, the Zips were torched by the 3-ball.
Buffalo made nine of its 16 attempts, including a 3 in the final minute that wound up being the winning bucket.
Akron fell 73-70.
Zeke Marshall played only 20 minutes because of foul trouble. Brett McClanahan led Akron with 15. Bulls guard Byron Mulkey scored a game-high 17.
The loss makes Wednesday night's game at Miami all the more important. Holding a 1-3 conference record would make a first-round bye difficult to achieve.
