Zips hire another top assistant

Football
This is almost getting comical. How many overqualified assistant coaches can J.D. Brookhart possibly corral?
ESPN.com is reporting that the Zips found a linebackers coach who was previously a defensive coordinator at Illinois and Colorado. Vince Okruch is his name, and in 2006, he led the Illini to a 33rd-ranked defense.
Okruch left Illinois' staff due to personal reasons in July 2007. He replaces Mike Dawson, who took the linebacker job at Boston College.

At least one writer believes Kevin Grant is a bona fide pro. He plays smart and was active in 2008. To me, it would be all about his speed at the Akron Pro Day.
